Student Points System

Each year the 8th grade class takes a trip in May.  This trip is a reward for good grades and behavior, each student must be in good standing with the school and their classes to attend. We keep track of the students by using a point system. Students must have a total of 160 points to be eligible for the trip.  These points are awarded or taken away as follows:

Points Given: Total:

All Passing Grades in Core Subjects 3 points each (15 total per quarter) 60 points

All S or S- in Citizenship 1 point each (16 total per quarter) 64 points

Participating in Class Fundraisers 10 points each (per school year) 60  points

Points Taken Away:

In-School Suspension -3 points for each day

Suspended from School Bus -3 points for each day

Suspended from School -3 points for each day

School Behavior Infractions -3 points for incident

The 8th grade student must have all bills (past and present) paid in full before they can attend the class trip.
